Freestyle Class
week 1 - front exercise while you rotate orientation in a swivel chair
- backing
up with the do in front of you, treat held at head level or just slightly lower
- spinning
in both directions in front of you
- spinning alongside you as you walk, remember
to have the dog spin AWAY from your leg
- touch the mat exercise
week 2: - backing up with you, (across the lengeth of the
room, focus on straight)
- backing up without you: working distance from you
- working front position while standing vs sitting
next
week: hoops and backing around your legs
week 3 1) starting
to teach the dogs to back through your legs, asking them to pull back more and more as they get confident 2) backing up, going tot the mat 3) hula hoop, going through
straight and going through and around your legs (both direcions) 4)hula hoop while
you are holding the hoop, reward when the dog sticks their nose through the plane of the hoop with no external prompts

CU 2 class week 1: - door and foyer management
- getting focus while in tight spaces, being sensitive to "pressure"
- repetition
as a correction, when you get success, move forward!
- mat exercise moving through
a jump
- homework: place your mat in "odd" places
week 2: - refocus going through gates and doors
- stages of taking off the leash and asking for refocusing
- focusing
on teamwork and togetherness vs eye contact
- working a dog in your dog's peripheral
vision, reward and release pressure.

Week 3 1)
This week we worked a lot with having dogs walk in and out of your dog's periperheral vision and rewarding when they notice
and then backing out 2) We also worked the same situation wiht the treat bags/toys
off your person 3) Ask for the your dog to perform simple commands/requests while
the treat bag is off, then go back and reward. Teach your dog that they are accountable regardless of the props! 4)

Control Unleashed Class week 1: - reward voluntary contact with the mat
by feeding them dinner when they are making contact with the mat
- place a treat
ont he mat and send the dog to the mat on the cue "spot"
- Have the dog
down on the mat whenever you work a down-stay to help build the idea of staying on the mat
- Work all three steps of "leave it" (handout will be in a link below)
- read over the protocol for relaxation so we can talk about it next week!
week
2: - combining exercises, now send to mat and reward when the dog offers a down
on their own. If they leave before you are finish simply re-send
- start protocol

Week 3 1)Now we are sending the dogs to the mat and they are staying
down on the mat 2)we are working the down as a default so that when dogs are playing
with a toy, or chasing a treat and you take it up, they should lay down on the mat to get you to initiate the game again 3)continue working on your mat as a down and stay 4) now, when
your dog looks away at some distraction you wil click when they look at the distraction, and when they look back to you, click
and treat for refocusing on you 5) next week we will continue with the relaxation
