Pennies for Puppies!
Our program is a complete success! We have a jar out in class, where students
are asked (ok, cajoled and encourages) to throw their spare change. When the jar gets heavy, we take it to the bank
to be counted. Every time we hit $100.00 the students draw from a name of animal charities that have touched their lives
in some way. The program began in September 2010. Our small, wonderful community of friends and students has
contibuted to our community through the following charities:
Doberman
Rescue of North Texas
National English Shepherd Rescue
Friends for Animals (in Grandbury TX)
Wise County Animal Shelter
DFW Dachshund Rescue
BlooMoon's "Mercy"
fund
